Royal Society Te Apārangi Manawatū Branch activities

1. Regular public meetings, typically held at Palmerston North Library (usually on the 3rd Tuesday of the month). Some meetings are combined with other societies.
2. A forum for discussing and disseminating science, technology and humanities research.
3. A monthly newsletter giving members details of meetings and selected local news items.
4. The Manawatū Lecture – our annual prestigious lecture describing an aspect of science relevant to the historical and future development of the Manawatū.
5. Nominations for awards.
6. Support of tertiary students with a hardship bursary.
7. Supporting various science activities in the Manawatū.
8. Encouraging members to adhere to the Royal Society Te Apārangi Code of Ethics.

Membership – Joining the Royal Society Te Apārangi Manawatū Branch

The membership fee is $25. Students may join for $5.
